  The purpose of this position is to ensure effective configuration, installation, operation, and maintenance of critical gaming systems. 

The Systems Administrator also ensures high availability of critical systems and network infrastructure by use of monitoring and support tools as well as providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities & duties:

· Configure and install server hardware, network infrastructure, and applications in accordance with company standards and project requirements

· Be detail-oriented and ensure accuracy in compliance with established policies as well as location-specific requirements

· Assist with physical installation at locations as needed (some travel required)

· Monitor and maintain gaming infrastructure

· Monitor equipment status and gameplay daily and respond to issues promptly and professionally

· Provide Tier-2 support for field technicians and assist with troubleshooting field issues and configuration changes

· Review hardware and application logs and provide proactive solutions

· Schedule and apply OS and application updates on a regular basis

· Develop and maintain product and system documentation for gaming equipment, servers, and applications

· Provide support for corporate employees and IT equipment when necessary


  Required Skills/ Abilities:

· Strong commitment to customer service

· Strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving abilities

· Detailed understanding of Windows 7/10, Windows Server, and Active Directory

· Understanding of Server and Workstation hardware troubleshooting


Desired skills/ Abilities:

· Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server user management

· Basic SQL knowledge (executing queries, configuring backup plans)

· Able to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences to provide troubleshooting and resolve issues

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline or equivalent work experience a must

· Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or higher a plus

· Must have 3+ years of experience with Cisco and Sonic WALL and familiarity with basic networking

· Must have 3-5 years of system administration and support experience

Physical Requirements:

· Able to lift 25+ lbs

· This position requires some travel and hardware installation of servers and gaming machines internally and in the field
